Couldn't resist a quick check and play with the lights...
Just did a few bits and pieces today. Switched the vents around so the internal ones are inside and the external ones are waiting to be fitted. Also, hung the first roller blind on the window. The door ones need to wait for the second coat of stain on the inside (I'm pretty stained out at the moment...). Though the glass is the same size in both doors and the window, the frames are quite different. I was struggling to work out how to fix the holders when Dave pointed out that they'd fit nicely hanging down from inside the internal frame, leaving the casement free to open without blinds dangling everywhere. I dismantled the brackets as instructed and stuffed the end pieces in to the roller blind - the Persuader was required to bash the corded end in to the tube. Fitting the brackets on the underside of the frame made it tight for space, so I drilled the front edge pilot holes at an angle to reduce the danger of splitting the front face. Worked OK, but I had a bit of a wrestle with the first one. Once those were in, it was a case of slotting the blind in to place, re-fitting the fiddly end covers and fitting the pull chain holder. Quite happy actually.
